What Really Matters in Life

We all know what really matters, but we get lost from time to time….

Therefore I decided to write this reflective essay.  My personal experience forced me to be reminded what s*** in life truly matters.

We all have dreams, goals and ambitions.

We want to feel like we are making a real difference in the world.

We all are loading our social media with fake smiles and mostly fake fabulous lives, everything is focus on external achievements.

We are high achieving individuals and very competitive which leads to mostly being a phony and we all are presenting kinda artificial reality.

What is REAL reality what Really matters?

HEALTH

When we are young and healthy, we care about mostly unimportant things, we are testing our limits, basically taking our health for granted.

When things goes sideways, than we are forced to realise how colourless, fake and lifeless our modern society is.

Happiness

Simply feeling good about myself, about being me. Be happy now. Enjoying precious little moments,  grab them and enjoy the ride. Being a happy and optimistic spirit is something we can choose. I did!

YOU?

“The most important thing is to enjoy your life – to be happy – it’s all that matters.” – Audrey Hepburn

“The purpose of our lives is to be happy.” – Dalai Lama

LOVE

Love yourself and treat yourself well. Every day do 3 nice things for you.

Enjoy the little things  – buy your favourite ice cream, go to the cinema….whatever makes you feel good -etc.

Relationship

No matter whether you are single or married or whatever your situation may be. Surround yourself with people who make you feel good. I am always trying to select who I will allow into my circle of trust. Unfortunately I am not that good of a judge of a character, I’m hoping it will improve with age.

Achievement

Being successful means to be able to fulfill our visions, goals and dreams.

We are always trying to get a bigger house, and a bigger car but WHY ?

Is it going to make me a happier person?

Am I going to live a meaningful life?

A Happier life?

Patient

Take care of myself – listen to my body and needs – taking alone time to think, to recharge my batteries and clear my mind.

  • a salt bath
  • meditation
  • a soul searching
  • Find the time for yourself

Just take a deep breath and repeat…inhale, exhale and again….🙏🏻

Healing practise

I am using Top Power Herbs for my healing. I will write a follow up blog about the way I am fighting with my autoimmune disease.

A Special Diet:

  • Tea and more herbs
  • green salads daily – keep it 80 % green
  • cooking daily

More about my diet coming in follow up blog.

What I have to learn:

Dealing with a Stress

don’t sweat with the little things – don’t over thing everything! I am hoping with advancing age I will become more of a free spirit and just let things easily flow. This is a point I am still working on.

Because I am a typical virgo, I want things done my way and I am always writing a script how I imagine things to be!

Letting go

Let go of things which no longer serve me! Is a must to heal!

Less worrying – Regrets

I don’t care anymore about the past nor about my future much….I am living in the here and now!

Trying to make every moment matter.

“Do not dwell in the past, do not dream of the future, concentrate the mind on the present moment.” – Buddha

Do NOT expect anything – let yourself be pleasantly surprised!

Plus as we know, where there are No expectations  – there is no disappointment.

But on the other side, the society is expecting from us too much.

The day has only 24 hours, but it feels we must succeed in everything.

It is a constant pressure to be the most fabulous looking human being, it almost feels like we are in a constant competition.

But hey, there is no award, what truly matters are the values.

VALUES

  • balanced living
  • having meaningful relationships
  • authenticity

And what is the outcome of my reflective essay?

“Your beliefs become your thoughts,

Your thoughts become your words,

Your words become your actions,

Your actions become your habits,

Your habits become your values,

Your values become your destiny.” ~ Mahatma Gandhi

“Nothing matters very much, and few things matter at all.” – Arthur Balfour

Be Thankful

It is important to be thankful for what we have.

Every day when we wake up, it is like being newly born. We can start all over again.

I got a safe place to stay, I got a water, food, friends.

I can breath, feel, walk and see.

let’s go out and be thxful for all of this and let’s detox from all the supeficial bullshit.

With love,

Zuzi
